Passive Income Assignment Students have two options to complete this assignment. Option 1 is completed in a group of 3-4 students and Option 2 is completed individually. Option 1: YouTube brand monetization analysis. Students will examine an athlete’s unique brand positioning on YouTube and how the athlete monetizes their YouTube channel. The analysis consists of three parts. 1. Describe the athlete and how they use YouTube. Elaborate on their unique brand positioning on YouTube. 2. Provide an overview of how the athlete monetizes their YouTube channel. In particular, provide insights gained from the YouTube calculator https://influencermarketinghub.com/YouTube-money-calculator/ as well as your own research/analysis of the athlete’s channel. These monetization strategies may include (but are not limited to) affiliate links, product placements, integration of YouTube advertisements, or personal sponsorships. Describe these monetization strategies and analyze how they fit the athlete’s personal brand positioning on YouTube. 3. Imagine you are working with athletes who want to build and monetize their personal brand on YouTube. These are your clients. Your role is to provide them with insights you have gained from this analysis. Outline the key takeaways you learned and what you would recommend athletes to do. Guidelines: • The assignment is completed in a group. • Word limit: no more than 1000 words total. • Format: The report should be formatted in a way that looks professionally and presentable to your “clients”. You can create the report in Word or PowerPoint and integrate screenshots to enhance the professional look.
