Fallacy Discussion | Online Homework Aiders

I’m working on a English question and need guidance to help me study.

For this discussion, you are going to listen to and/or read a speech. Look for fallacies within the speech.

This speech was given by President Nixon in 1952, (at this time he was the Republican Candidate for the Vice Presidency) and this speech has been nicknamed “The Checkers” speech.

Post the following to the discussion board:

• At least 2 fallacies you noted. (Give the example of the particular line and what fallacy you noticed)
• Advise how each fallacy weakened or invalidated the argument
• How could you revise that particular part of the speech to not contain a fallacy (i.e. how would you reword it? What else could have been said? Etc.)
