Explain what makes a supervisor/employer effective with his/her employees
Thesis statement
Majority of supervisors have real expertise on supervisory duties, however it is common to find most of them lacking in the techniques that are required to effectively motivate the employees that they are supposed to supervise. This is because majority of them are simply promoted to these positions and then left with only their past experience to bank on, without a semblance of training on what it takes to be an effective supervisor. It would therefore be fair to say that this kind of supervisors do not possess the tools that would ordinarily enables them realize their full potential. Effective supervision should at all times help improve employee morale, reduce employee turnover, entrench a culture of achievement, increase productivity, smoothen workplace transition, and finally, produce highly motivated employees. These are therefore the benchmarks of a assessing the effectiveness of a supervisor. However there are a number of ways that a supervisor can use to increase his or her effectiveness.
