ENG 102 Women Representation on Media Annotated Bibliography Paper You will complete an annotated bibliography that collects, summarizes, and analyzes 5-7
secondary sources that you can use in an 8- to 10-page paper. Your research topic must be
chosen from one of your first three papers. Each annotation must be 100-200 words to include a
summary of the source and your explanation of how you plan to use the work in your research
paper.
Parameters: You must include a tentative title that you believe can be used for the final paper.
You must provide an introduction that has an arguable thesis statement. Your introduction should
explain and critique the problem or issue before beginning your annotations. Each citation must
include a one-paragraph summary of the work and a one-paragraph explanation of how the work
is relevant to your project.
Your sources must have been published within the last 10-20 years. Your sources must be from
books, expert interviews, lectures, speeches, newspapers, reputable magazines (i.e. The New
Yorker), essays, articles, and/or websites. The sources must be valid, relevant, and reliable;
therefore, Wikipedia is not acceptable (it never is). If your source is a website, it must have an
author who is identifiable, credible in the subject matter and provides a bibliography for the
information to be verified. The sources must have been published within the last 10-20 years.
Finally, you must adhere to MLA Guidelines.
