Im trying to study for my Psychology course and I need some help to understand this question.
How do we come to define ourselves? What is our self-concept based on? Please review the following video:
Discuss how you view yourself and how you came to view yourself this way. Who has had the most influence on your self development? How do others view you differently than you really are? why? How would your closest friends describe you? Is this very similar to how you view yourself? How and why? Who we are is critical to the development of self esteem and begins the formation of our social selves. What is self esteem? How does one develop positive self esteem? Using the analysis in your text of the Dark Triad how might one develop negative self-esteem and self concept? Using the video, one of the terms from the Dark Triad describe how this is possible in detail, at minimum two paragraphs.
