Introduction
The modern girl is a cosmopolitan, ambient and a freelancer who is dictated by her own free will of choice on the complex number of choices that govern her self image.[1] This is article review about designing identities written by Susan Hodara who uses the text by Jacobs Brumberg.[2] The author is pointing out to expectations that the society places on young girls (ladies) between the ages thirteen to seventeen. In her house they were invited to discuss about the different choices of clothing and what motivated them to wear such clothing. The girls are white from upper miIDle class in one of New Yorks suburb (Westchester County). Going by the authors description, all these ladies aspire to become models, actresses or even performers.
