Creative Writing Question

This week you will be doing your own descriptive essay on the same topic from last week, and you must have descriptive details representing at least three of the five senses. Remember everything you have learned about proper essay structure (5 paragraphs, 3-5 sentences (no more than five because points will be deducted), thesis statement, etc.), and be sure to look at the information about description. One mistake I have found with students making the descriptive essay personal is that they forget that the essay needs to have enough descriptive elements (i.e. details) in it that show the reader that this is a descriptive essay and not just a narrative in which he or she is simply telling a story. Reread the “Ground Zero” story as an example of how strong description in a story should be, and be sure to check your essay against the attached ENG 101 Essay standards. Also, your essays will go through Turnitin to check for plagiarism, so be sure to only have your own original thoughts, and do not use research at all. The plagiarism match percentage must always be less than 25%, and for this essay, it should be 0 percent since this essay should reflect your personal thoughts. Please keep in mind that plagiarism is not allowed, and you will earn a zero. Therefore, do not attempt to turn in an old essay, even if it’s one of your own.
