This complex theory is explained by relationships, emergence and patterns as well as iterations as explained by Fryer (2005). This theory states that the universe has various systems which are much complex and constantly adapting to the changing environment. All components involved in the system are called agents. Based on their nature, these agents in one way or the other interact and make connections between and amongst themselves in a manner that is much unpredictable and unplanned (Ahmed, Elgazzar, & Hegazi 2005). As a result of this interactions, regulations start emerging to regulate the interaction and connection, to ensure a particular pattern is formed. This pattern feeds back on the system and informs agent interactions (Olson & Eoyang 2001). For clarity, in the above visual representation, patterns, regulations and feedback are indicated out of the system, but they are all intrinsic system parts.
