him.
Script:
Scene 1
Introduction begins as the newly personalized Siri has just been updated and released to the
public, noting that it now has “emotions” and different “personalities” depending on the user
and their tasks in hand. (on the screen?)
Student begins day in their room and takes out personal smartphone and sees that the new
update has just been released and begins updating their phone immediately. He is excited.
Scene 2
Update takes a long time.
After the phone has been updated, Student then asks Siri, “Siri what will the weather be like
today?”
Siri takes time in responding and shows the refresh button, suddenly it changes color and
answers, “There’s no chance of rain today and it’ll be sunny for the most part, just perfect for
the beach!” (excited).
Student smiles, and finds it interesting and keeps using the app throughout the day. Student
gets ready for school and before exiting their room, asks Siri, “Siri, How’s the traffic today?”
? Siri responds, “There’s no traffic right now, your lecture hall Galbraith is 4 miles away
from you and your class will start in 5 minutes, you are going to be late again!!! Get up
earlier tomorrow.”
This time, student seems nervous because he forgot that he actually have a quiz today.
?

Siri: “Well, today you only have one class at 11am. How about we go on a hike and take some
nice pictures at Torrey Pines! I just got a camera update that I think you would like. Also, there
is a new cafe 1.2 miles away that has 4.7 star average review from Yelp.com”
Student: [thinking that siri is being a little invasive] “ok, thanks siri..
Scene 4
Friend: “I don’t know man, I like the new Siri! She really gets me… Today she reminded me
about my girlfriend’s birthday AND ordered her a present on Amazon for me with same day
shipping!”
Student: [unsure, looking down at phone]“Thats pretty cool I guess…. But, isn’t it sometimes
weird that shes like, a regular person? Minus the voice? I’m not sure if I like it.”
Friend: “WHatever.” [to siri] “Siri, will you clock in for work for me?” [to student] I need the pay
for lunch hour, I’m trying to buy some new airpods”
Siri: “Yeah bro, I gotchu”
Friend: smiles to student smugly
Scene 5
Student goes home and logs on to Amazon Turk
Starts working and props Siri to open.
Student: “Ugh, this is so tedious and boring.”
*looks at iphone, looks back at laptop, then looks back at iphone*
“Hey siri…. Fill out this survey for me.”
(video of talking to siri)
(video of student scanning the surveys)
Siri then says “ Please scan the survey for me, face your phone towards the screen and wait five
seconds”
Ten seconds later * Siri: “Survey complete and submitted”
(add picture of 1 survey completed)
AMT: You’ve just earned $0.19 for completing that survey, thank you!
(pictures of # of surveys completed gets higher and higher)
Cut to montage of Student typing on his computer, Siri doing all of the Amazon Turk work
