station to begin to put it on paper.

Earlier this evening my husband Jerry and I heard arguing from the house across the street.
Mary Sue and Paul were fighting again and it seemed to be getting out of hand because it got
really loud. They do have a lot of fights, but it normally doesn’t get as bad as it did today.
We, Jerry and I, were inside the house when we heard the arguing. It is nothing new, but it
started to get really loud and Mary Sue was really yelling at Paul. We couldn’t really hear what
she was yelling about but then we heard a loud crash like something breaking and that is when
we decided to call the police. They have never broken anything before but Mary Sue has
complained that Paul hit her in the past. We did not see anything that happened inside the
house, but Mary Sue came out and sat on the porch and she was crying. You guys showed up
before we could go check on her so we didn’t see any signs that Paul had hit her, we just heard
the commotion and thought it was serious enough to call the police.

I, James Hardy, was outside in my backyard doing some work when I heard Paul and Mary Sue
Jones arguing in their house. Mary Sue was yelling at Paul and then I heard glass breaking and it
sounded like furniture being moved and some other noises. They continued to yell and scream
and Mary Sue said she was calling the cops and that Paul wasn’t going to get away with it this
time. A short time later Paul came out the back door. He didn’t have a shirt on and he looked
upset and he was mumbling to himself. I couldn’t hear what he was saying but I saw that he
was rubbing his right hand like he hurt it. When Paul saw me outside he came over to the fence
and said that Mary Sue was really crazy tonight and that she was trying to get him arrested. I
asked him what happened and he told me that she fell down and was trying to blame it on him.
He told me all he wanted to do was watch the game and she just wouldn’t stop. I asked him
what broke and he said that she fell over the coffee table. I didn’t ask him if he hit her, but I
noticed that he kept holding and rubbing his right hand like it hurt.
I have lived next to them for more than five years and they do have their arguments on
occasion but this is the first time I remember it getting this bad. Paul did not say that he hit
Mary Sue and I did not see anything before Paul came outside.
