I need an explanation for this Psychology question to help me study.

In Chapter 3 the senses were discussed, some in more detail than others. This week’s discussion has two parts:

1. Choose one of the senses discussed in the chapter and provide an understanding of how the sense works/functions using the proper terms provided in the text.

2. Conduct research outside of the textbook about the lack of the sense you chose to discuss. For example, if you chose the sense of touch, discuss what the lack of the sense of touch is called, what causes it, and what challenges or dangers are created for the individual. Be sure to provide the reference information for where you found the information.
