Section I – Issue/Crisis Description: The first section should describe the crisis or issue experienced by a business, government agency, or higher education institution in detail. Pretend that we don’t know anything about this issue – what happened, who/where/when, why was it an issue??Add the Stakeholders and publics table at the beginning of this section, the format of the table is:

?
Section II – Connecting Theory to Practice: The second section should explore the crisis through the lens of a theory or construct. You may chose any theory/construct discussed prior to this assignment . Start by explaining the theory and then connect the theory to the problem. Use material from the textbook and/or class to help articulate how the theory you chose and the issue are connected. For example, say you chose situational crisis theory. What is it? What does it have to say about how crisis ought to be handled? How is it connected to the issue you described in Section 1?
Section III – Recommendation: Then, in the final section present a solution to the crisis or issue based on the connections you have just described. Suggestions should arise out of the theory you use and be connected to public relations best practices. The recommendations should include cited sources, not your opinions. For example, maybe there should have been a public apology. Why? What about the theory you chose suggests that a public apology is needed?
Throughout your paper, you should cite all sources. Include information from trade articles, peer-reviewed journal articles, or textbooks. For example, how do you know details about the event? Did you google them? Great – cite that website. Or, say you chose Corporate Apologia as your theory, how do you know what that theory is about? From the scholarly article? Great, cite it.(APA citation)
