European Journal of Information Systems.

The area of concentration for my doctorate degree will focus on information systems. This is the area I will be focusing my thesis project and research on. I have been studying topics related to information systems very thoroughly. For my research purposes, I will be taking help from previous journal articles written on this specific area of interest. Specifically, for this reason, I have chosen the help of two journals that will guide in my research work and have an array of great journal articles concerning with the field of information systems.

The journal that I have decided to take assistance from is called European Journal of Information Systems. As the name suggests, this journal exclusively deals with all topics related to information systems. They have an amazing list of publication that contains a huge list of articles pertaining to the topic of information systems. The European Journal of Information Systems presents a great view of scientific analysis of information systems form the point of retrospect of European researchers (Pritchett, 2017). It is a great platform for European researchers and authors to present their study related to information systems.

European Journal of Information Systems is being published since 1991. The publisher Taylor and Francis are the company responsible for publishing them. They were started by Ray J. Paul. It is considered to be the official journal of The Operational Research Society. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has an impressive impact factor of 2.600.

I did choose this journal over many other more reputable and famous journals because I think this journal would give me a very fresh take on the topics pertaining to the field of information systems. As this journal only focuses on the articles by European authors and researchers, it does shed light on research carried out by many unknown and less famous researchers. It also gives the opportunity to a lot of students and fresh talented researchers which makes this journal a very reputable community for reading about new and innovative ideas. This journal will help me to gather information about the research being carried out through small scale means about which we do not hear much.

This journal and the articles written in it will help me tremendously in my job as a software engineer. As this journal only focuses on European authors and researchers, it often makes room for small scale research and studies. This journal will help me keep up to date with not only the new technologies but also some new techniques which are still unknown to the tech world (Pritchett, 2017). It will resolve a big problem that we software engineers face that is a lack of new ideas as this journal often shows us the new possibilities that the tech world can achieve.
